SOTM: February--On Your Knees

Newsboys: On Your Knees

Lately she's been thinking what her daddy said,
How when you're winning, you got more friends...
But are they your friends if you fall they're gone
Something about those kind of people seems wrong

Who's gonna be there when the phone call knocks her down?
All of the steeples but she can't hear a bell sound
Jumps on a bus to head downtown and picks up a paper
That's been blowing around, it says,

"When your heart breaks, He'll hurt for you;
Dreams are out of reach, He'll pull you through.
When you lose hope all you gotta do is
Get on your knees again."

Not long now and you're gonna see
No mountain's too high for you or for me
Or fall too far if you can believe
And get on your knees, on your knees again

She pulls up her paper and puts it in her bag
Knows she really needs a Savior like that
Walking past her church just up the street
Says, "Maybe it's time to get on my knees"

'Cause He was there when no one was around
All of the people but no one made a sound
Thinks of her brother who's been feeling down
Pulls out the paper and reads it aloud

"When your heart breaks, He'll hurt for you;
Dreams are out of reach, He'll pull you through
When you lose hope all you gotta do is
Get on your knees again"

Not long now and you're gonna see
No mountain's too high for you or for me
Or fall too far if you can believe
And get on your knees, on your knees again

Giving everything you've got
Still it's hard to believe
Love comes from the inside out
If you wanna be free

Gotta give your life and never stop
When you're thinking about giving up
Get on your knees

Sickness (again) and the Sweetheart Bash

It has been quite a while--over a month to be exact--since I last updated you on the life of the Cameron family. I definitely do not have the excuse of being "busy." Our lives have been anything but since Christmastime. We haven't done much socializing at all since Christmas Day because of sickness. It just continues to re-circulate again and again... and again. But now it has finally started to fade away. Though Phinehas had a 102 fever yesterday and still pretty clingy, he's doing better. We're all doing much better, I'm very thankful to say. :)

Some friends from church, Mariah, Simeon, and I put on a Sweetheart Bash for our parents/the couples at church on Friday night. Below are some pictures from the night. We (the teens) had so much fun decorating and setting up and actually serving our parents. It was a night of desserts, dancing and a game, kind of like the Newlyweds. It was so much fun. And our parents were blessed. Enjoy the pictures!

Lauren, the one who spear-headed
everything and organized
absolutely

everything is in the black dress.

The guy is Jay, her brother.
Some of the delicious desserts

Mariah and Reshall

The "staff"
Mariah made this delicious cheesecake
with a chocolate glaze.
Savannah, Lauren and Jay's younger sister,
made an amazing Black Forest Cake.

The whole place was lit by
Christmas lights
And some pictures from their wedding... (and one other)

Their engagement picture
One of my favorite pictures of them <3

Jeremy Camp--Overcome

Seated above, enthroned in the Father's love
Destined to die, poured out for all mankind
God's only son perfect and spotless one
He never sinned, but suffered as if He did

All authority, every victory is Yours
All authority, every victory is Yours

Savior, worthy of honor and glory
Worthy of all our praise
You overcame

Jesus, awesome in power forever
Awesome and great is Your name
You overcame

Power in hand speaking the Father's plan
You're sending us out, light in this broken land

We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb
And the word of our testimony
Everyone, overcome!
